Matt Riddle discusses the recent departure and return of R-Truth to WWE.
MLW World Champion Matt Riddle recently spoke with Going Ringside. When asked if he was surprised by the recent situation where WWE decided not to renew R-Truth’s contract but then re-signed him less than a week later due to fan and locker room backlash, Riddle said he wasn’t and fully placed the blame on TKO and Endeavor.

“Well, no, because the problem is right now with TKO and Endeavor,” Matt Riddle said. “They’re still trying to figure out and work out the kinks, and right now, they’re trying to save as much money as possible and create a good budget for themselves. And in pro wrestling, it’s like, that’s just not how it works. Sometimes this guy’s popular, sometimes this guy’s popular, and things change over time.”
When asked if he thinks Truth was initially cut just so TKO and Endeavor could save money, Riddle said he’s sure that’s what happened.
“I know for a fact, yeah,” Matt Riddle said. “They cut people so they can renegotiate their contracts. I already heard Roman Reigns is up for that, and they want to renegotiate his contract and others.”
