“Not too confident” – Chelsea source delivers new crushing info on Mike Maignan transfer

One Chelsea source has delivered what some Chelsea fans will see as crushing new info on the Mike Maignan transfer deal.

Today is the day where the first summer transfer window closes after only being open from the start of June. But it’s not closed for long as it reopens again on June the 16th. This is just a chance for clubs to get deals done before the Club World Cup starts.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea make contact to sign Premier League and England star this summer!!

Chelsea have been busy trying to get deals done and doing various other bits of business in the last 10 days. One new signing, Mamadou Sarr, who was announced yesterday, has predictions over his head to become world class very soon.

They’ve also signed Liam Delap already of course, and Alan Shearer was full of praise for The Blues new young striker yesterday.

Maignan situation

There was more talks last night and apparently Chelsea offered £18m to sign Maignan yet this fee was still rejected by the Italian club.

More talks will continue today, but there was a negative update from one Chelsea source on this as well last night.

Chelsea not confident

Simon Johnson of The Athletic posted this on his X account last night:

‘There is still time for a breakthrough before tomorrow’s deadline but Chelsea are not too confident of agreeing a fee for Mike Maignan with AC Milan as things stand right now.’

Well that doesn’t sound too hopeful, and you can be sure he’s spoken to someone at Chelsea about this.

Chelsea just need to pay the £25m asking price to sign a top world class goalkeeper and stop messing about wasting time.
