LeBron James Sends Strong Message After Major Jamie Foxx News

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has played in 10 NBA Finals during his illustrious career. Many fans and pundits thought James would get to his 11th NBA Finals this year after the Lakers traded for Luka Doncic in February. 

However, James, Doncic and Los Angeles lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of this year's playoffs in five games. 

The 2025 NBA Finals are going on right now with the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder tied at 1-1. 

James is used to preparing for NBA Finals games during this time of the year, but since his Lakers aren't playing, the basketball legend is enjoying his free time. 

It appears James watched the BET Awards on Monday. Actor, singer and comedian Jamie Foxx received the Ultimate Icon Award, and James reacted to his close friend's accomplishment. 

Foxx has called James the greatest player in NBA history multiple times. The two celebrities are clearly big fans of each other. 

A four-time MVP and four-time Finals MVP, James is the oldest (40) active player in the NBA. He averaged 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 8.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.6 blocks this season and 25.4 points, 9.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.8 blocks in the 2025 playoffs. 

James has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers (twice), Miami Heat and Lakers. He has career averages of 27.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.7 blocks.

A 21-time All-Star, James is the leading scorer in NBA history. He's the only player to rank top five all-time in points and assists. 

James has a player option to return to the Lakers next season for his 23rd year in the NBA. The King is widely expected to pick up his player option.
