Steph Curry barely had time to soak in a big Game 7 road win before turning his attention to the next challenge for the Golden State Warriors.
Curry shook off a slow start and the Warriors put on a late fourth-quarter flurry to take down the Houston Rockets 103-89, advancing to the second round of the NBA playoffs.
The No. 7-seeded Warriors will start their next series on the road against a Minnesota Timberwolves team that just made quick work of the Los Angeles Lakers, winning their opening-round series in five games.
Curry warned his team that the Timberwolves would pose a big challenge.
"Mission accomplished, Step 1, we've got an incredibly tough Minnesota team waiting so we're ready for the challenge," Curry said.
The Warriors star admitted that he was "fried" after a tense Game 7 against the Rockets, but said he was optimistic his team would keep playing at a high level.
"I just know they're going to bring the best out of us, it's going to be a challenge starting on the road again," Curry added. "Thankfully, we've got life, that's all we wanted."
Curry also shared some praise for Jimmy Butler, the trade-deadline acquisition who helped take the Warriors from the No. 10 seed to the NBA Play-In Tournament and the No. 7 seed.
"To build chemistry on the fly, build trust on the fly and perform like we did in a Game 7 like this, it means the world," Curry said.
