Roberto De Zerbi gives Nayef Aguerd update ahead this weekend’s Classique

Roberto De Zerbi was today present in his pre-match press conference attended by Get French Football News before Olympique de Marseille’s Classique clash against Paris Saint-Germain, and gave an update on Nayef Aguerd after the Moroccan defender missed out on OM’s trip to face Real Madrid during the week for head concussion protocol. Aguerd made his debut with Les Olympiens against FC Lorient last weekend, where he suffered a head injury but played on – eventually scoring his first goal for the club in injury time. The Moroccan then missed out after the club announced it had left the player at home for their Champions League opener due to “head concussion protocol”. “We will see and follow all the necessary medical protocol, we will then see on Sunday” De Zerbi said on Aguerd – remaining opaque as to whether the Moroccan will be involved in OM’s Classique clash on Sunday evening. Aguerd joined OM from Premier League side West Ham on the final day of transfer deadline day this summer, along with fellow defender Emerson Palmieri.
