I'm a pro shopper — here's my wishlist from the Nordstrom fall sale

Quick reminder: It still rains in the fall. Not every day is sunny and crisp like in a Nora Ephron movie, so a good rain jacket is crucial. Wear this water-repellent style to bring a little bit of color to drearier days. 

With seemingly endless pockets, it's both stylish and functional. Honestly, you can even wear it when it's sunny!

Nordstrom brings these popular pants back season after season because shoppers say they're that flattering. Why? They're made with special fabric that "shapes, smoothes and lifts in all the right places."

Because olive green is so popular this season, don't think twice about grabbing that color while it's on sale. Other hues are discounted too, including khaki and light blue, which are also great for fall.

Laura Mercier's creamy eyeshadow sticks come in so many shimmery shades that it's hard to pick a favorite. Luckily, you don't have to with this trio! The sticks usually cost $33 for one, so the fact that you get three makes this a steal. 

These are the creme de la creme of eye shadow sticks: They glide on smoothly, blend well and you don't have to sharpen them like a pencil — simply twist the bottom to raise the stick from the container when you need more. 

Here's a fashion truth: one can never have too many sweaters in their closet — and yes, I do make the rules. Also available in three other colors, this crewneck number is the ideal throw-on-and-go layer for fall and winter (and spring and summer).

Look, a fall dress is just as important as a summer dress. Bridge the gap between seasons with this flirty style that's perfect for hot days and chilly nights (just throw on a jacket!).

I love a good Birkenstock. They last forever and have the most supportive footbeds. The big gold buckles elevates the classic look for a dressy but comfy moment. Birkenstocks are rarely (if ever) on sale at Nordstrom, so it's big news that you can currently snag a pair of this chic style for 50% off. Your feet will just melt into the soft footbed.

"This is my first pair of Birks and I’m obsessed," exclaimed one five-star reviewer. "The color is beautiful with the large gold buckles. I have a slightly more narrow foot so they are perfect for me."

Beloved by celebrities and normies alike, Barefoot Dreams is known for its, well, dreamy soft blankets and loungewear. So, yes, this robe is a must-buy if you like anything comfy. Cuddle up while you're pouring your morning cup of coffee or just rewatching Sex and the City for the zillionth time on a chilly day.
