The people love them some Will Howard.
The Pittsburgh Steelers opened training camp up to fans on Saturday and the reaction for Will Howard was something to behold.
"Will Howard is the people’s champion," The Athletic's Mike DeFabo wrote. "The current QB4 on the depth chart gets a MASSIVE reaction from the crowd when he comes in for team drills. He completes a pass and people go nuts."
"The people love Will Howard. Man goes in as the 4th QB and gets a loud cheer from the crowd. Throws a 20 yard corner route to Montana Lemonious-Craig. Steelers fans have the loudest cheer of practice," Christopher Clark of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.
"Fans go wild as Will Howard takes the field for team pass. Loudest cheer of the day. He proceeded to throw a completion and the crowd erupts again," beat writer Mark Kaboly noted.
Here's the play that drew a strong reaction from Steelers fans.

Behind the Steel Curtain's Jarrett Bailey noted that Howard "has made the most of his reps these first few days at Steelers camp."
Bailey revealed that Howard made a "great throw" to JJ Galbreath for a touchdown, along with another impressive completion to Montana Lemonious-Craig.
Howard has been splitting QB3 reps with Skylar Thompson thus far in training camp, and the expectation is he'll eventually slot in as the No. 3 quarterback on Pittsburgh's depth chart behind starter Aaron Rodgers and top back Mason Rudolph.
Of course, the hope is that Howard will be ready to take the reins of the offense in 2026. There's still a long way to go, but it would appear Howard is off to a solid start.
