Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver Travis Hunter is off to an exciting start to his NFL career, but in recent weeks, his personal life has become the subject of misleading speculation.

The Colorado Buffaloes legend and his wife, Leanna Lenee, have been the target of unfounded divorce rumors that don’t reflect reality.

The two were married in May following more than three years of dating. The couple celebrated their new chapter with a Tennessee wedding and a honeymoon in the Caribbean, sharing photos and videos that highlighted their joy. To those close to them, the marriage has appeared solid, but online commentary has attempted to paint a different picture.

The speculation began after Lenee posted a TikTok video last month. The clip shows her emotional after stepping out of the shower while a church sermon played in the background. In the caption, she explained that the tears were tied to a period of personal struggle before she recommitted herself to her faith.

“I wish I could go back and hug December me, because oh baby, God was about to change your heart in the most important and beautiful way,” she wrote. She went on to reflect on her growth since then, noting, “The amount you can grow and develop in just 6 months of devoting your life to Jesus and getting away from the shackles of the world and social media is truly astounding.”

Despite her clear explanation, the video fueled a wave of speculation. Some social media users suggested it reflected tension in the marriage. Others claimed she had filed for divorce and was seeking a settlement. Fake news.

In reality, there has been no indication of a separation coming. The Hunters continue to share moments of their life together publicly. They bought an amazing house in Jacksonville and continue to live their best life.

Sporting News’ Jackie Longo explained how the couple recently rescued a cat as well. “Hunter shared a heartwarming video on TikTok with Lenee adopting a cat together at a Florida Humane Society,” she wrote. “After meeting several adorable homeless cats, the couple settled on a tan kitten, which they named “Uno.”

Hunter’s professional career has pushed him further into the national spotlight. After being selected second in the 2025 NFL Draft, he enters his rookie season with high expectations.

Hunter will try to play full time on both sides of the ball. That hasn’t happened since Chuck Bednarik played center and linebacker for Philadelphia during much of his career (1949-1962). At the same time, Hunter’s personal life remains firmly stable with his wife, who has been supportive throughout his career.
