Is this the indirect announcement of Kevin Trapp's move from Eintracht Frankfurt to Paris?
As 'Sky' and 'SportBild' report, Werder goalkeeper Michael Zetterer is now moving from the Weser to the Main. Eintracht is said to be paying around four million euros in transfer fees for the Bremen regular goalkeeper.
The 30-year-old has been under contract with Werder since January 2015. He played in all Bundesliga games last season and stood between the posts four times in the cup. Only last weekend, Werder's coach Horst Steffen had decided on Zetterer as number one in goal.
In Frankfurt, the goalkeeper is now likely to replace Kevin Trapp, who is apparently on the verge of a move abroad. According to 'Sky' reports, the captain is moving to Ligue 1 promoted team Paris FC. The clubs are said to have already agreed.
It's entirely possible that the Zetterer deal will soon be followed by the announcement of Kevin Trapp's departure. The 35-year-old is looking for a new challenge because, at Eintracht, Kaua Santos is likely to be back as number one between the posts after his injury.
According to 'Bild', Eintracht is said to have demanded "at most a low single-digit million sum" as a transfer fee for Trapp. This is now said to be one million euros, reports Florian Plettenberg.
