Top 2026 recruit Kyiah Prestridge commits to Arkansas

Top 2026 recruit Kyiah Prestridge has committed to Arkansas, she told Rivals. The 6-0 forward from Oklahoma City (OK) Westmoore High School chose the Razorbacks over offers from Oklahoma State, Cal, Auburn, Oklahoma and more.

“The biggest factor in the decision I made to go to the University of Arkansas was the coaching staff,” Prestridge told Rivals. “I mean, there’s a lot of connections that I have with them. I went in there and it felt like an official visit on my unofficial. I know the head coach’s daughter really well…Coach Lacey [Goldwire] knows my dad’s family, and then Coach [Nick] Bradford also knows some of some information about my dad – they go way back too. So it really felt like I was saying I was gonna be in good hands, being from Oklahoma, only being three hours away.”

Head coach Kelsi Musick just took over this Arkansas program a few months ago and Prestridge will be her first 2026 commit with the Razorbacks.

“It’s just fun to kind of both be new to the program,” Prestridge said. “You’re not getting a coach that’s been there for five, six years, that kind of has their system put in. Coach Musick, she’s contacted me like, ‘Hey, you fit perfectly into the offense I’m going to run’…She actually knows my head basketball coach too at Westmoore, so it’s going to be a perfect fit. I’m glad that their coaching staff put their trust in me to offer me and being their first commit is going to be really cool.”

Prestridge will bring a versatile threat to both ends of the floor when she joins the team for the 2026-27 season.

“I’m very versatile,” Prestridge said. “Coach Musick and Coach Lacey and Coach Bradford have told me that, like, ‘We can put you anywhere offensively and defensively – you can play one through five on offense.’ I think that I’m going to be coming in as an impact player and just making the right decisions with my IQ and knowing when to shoot the three, when to drive or when to do a no-look pass.”

While her arrival on campus is still nearly a year out, one of the aspects of her arrival Prestridge is most excited about is the togetherness of the athletics department.

“I think just how close the athletics are,” Prestridge said. “On my official visit, I got to meet [John] Calipari. It was the best thing ever. He shook my hand. I also met the boys basketball players. It wasn’t just like I met all the girls. I saw some of the football players. It just felt like they all cared about each other. It wasn’t feeling like all sports are kind of on their own, even like men’s and women’s, which I really liked. I’m really excited to be in the atmosphere of just supporting everybody.”
