Top 10 Players: Levante 1-4 Real Madrid

Real Madrid extended their great start to the season with a 4–1 win over Levante, away from home, making it six victories from six in LaLiga. Vinícius Júnior opened the scoring before assisting Franco Mastantuono’s first goal for the club. Etta Eyong pulled one back for Levante early in the second half, but Kylian Mbappé struck twice to seal the result.

Starting via rotation, Dani Ceballos produced a great game. He completed 97.8% of his passes, connected on all of his longballs, and added 15 progressive passes. He also carried the ball forward 11 times, created two key passes, and made 109 touches, 16 of them in the final third. His defensive work included eight recoveries, and his xT gain of 1.029 placed him inside the top five overall.

Dean Huijsen was again central to Madrid’s buildup. He had 20 progressive passes, the most in the match, and 85 touches. His distribution included a presence in deeper zones, and his xT gain of 1.055 ranked second overall. His ability to consistently move the ball gave structure to the back line.

Vinícius Júnior was the MVP. He scored once and assisted once, created three key passes, and produced 12 progressive carries. He also recorded 63 touches, 33 of them in the final third, completed four take-ons, and recovered the ball four times.

Levante players featured in several areas of the top 10 list. Adrián de la Fuente and Unai Elgezabal each completed 98.0% of their passes, while Oriol Rey added 92.7%. De la Fuente also connected on all of his longballs, and Jeremy Toljan contributed 14 progressive passes. Carlos Álvarez made eight progressive passes, nine progressive carries, and created two key passes. Eyong recorded 15 touches in the final third and scored Levante’s only goal.

Real Madrid will face Atlético de Madrid at the Metropolitano this weekend in the first derby of the season.
