Tigrinho bags a hat-trick, Andreas debuts as Palmeiras thrash Inter

Palmeiras thrashed Internacional 4-1 at Allianz Parque this Saturday (13th), in the 23rd round of the Brasileirão.

The first half was a real onslaught by the Alviverde, which even saw an unprecedented hat-trick by Vitor Roque.

Internacional returned from the break with the sole mission of avoiding an even bigger embarrassment.

And the Palmeiras fans just wanted to celebrate in the second half, even chanting "olé" before the 20-minute mark.

Internacional managed to pull one back with Carbonero (26'), taking advantage of an "assist" from Alviverde defender Murilo.

😅 The "idol" has arrived

At 17 minutes into the second half, Andreas Pereira took the field and made his debut for Palmeiras.

The player, signed for 63 million euros, hadn't played since July, for Fulham.

Another good piece of news for Palmeiras fans was having forward Bruno Rodrigues back from a serious injury suffered in January 2024.

🚦 How it stands

With the victory, Palmeiras reached 46 points and reclaimed second place in the Brasileirão, just behind Flamengo (47 points).

Meanwhile, Internacional remained with 27 points in tenth place.

Verdão returns to the field next Wednesday (17th), when they visit River Plate at the Estadio Monumental de Núñez for the first leg of the Libertadores quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, Colorado hosts Grêmio on Sunday (21st) at Beira-Rio for the 24th round of the Brasileirão.

In the national championship, Palmeiras hosts Fortaleza on Saturday (20th).
