When my Apple AirPods Pro arrived, the first thing I did was swap out the ear tips. They come with the medium size attached by default, but those left my ears feeling plugged up, like I had something jammed in there. So I sized down to small. A month later, they started falling out. So I moved up a size. A couple of months after that, I was using the largest size. Were my ears growing? In my mid-30s? Unlikely. That's when a friend suggested these Lanwow Premium Memory Foam Tips for AirPods Pro. On sale now for $10, they've been a total game-changer.
My biggest (and only) gripe about my AirPods Pro is that they fall out every single time I go for a run — but no longer. These squishy tips give you the custom fit you really need.
Why is this a good deal? 💰
I use my AirPods every single day. These memory foam tips make them more useful and more comfortable, and at $10, we're talking just a few pennies every day to make life better. Of course, the $5 discount makes them an even more attractive buy.
Why do I need this? 🤔
Apple gives you four sizes of silicone ear tips with the AirPods Pro — extra small, small, medium (already on there) and large. They're soft, flexible and meant to create a snug seal for better sound and noise cancellation. But here's the thing: for a lot of people, those default tips just don't cut it.
In my case, the mediums felt too snug, the smalls fell out, and somehow, I ended up wearing the larges despite not having particularly large ears. That's when I found these memory foam tips, and honestly, they've been a huge upgrade. They compress when you insert them, then expand to match the shape of your ear canal. That means a more secure fit, better passive noise isolation and — for a lot of people — way more comfort. They also stay in better during workouts or long commutes, and they're less likely to loosen over time compared to the silicone tips.
You can buy a multi-pack that includes all three sizes, which is perfect for figuring out what actually fits best. Once you know your size, you can stick with a three-pack of just that size.
Not sure what size you are? This three-pack comes in small, medium and large. (Amazon)
What reviewers say 💬
Over 13,000 reviewers have given these clever AirPods add-ons a five-star rating.
Pros 👍
"The largest tips that came with my AirPods Pro 2 were too loose to hold them securely in my ears," complained a five-star reviewer. "These have worked exceptionally well and were very comfortable. They have never fallen out in five months. I use my AirPods as hearing aids about three hours everyday."
This five-star reviewer dealt with the same issue I did. "Like everyone else, I was having issues with my new AirPods falling out of my ears. I researched this heavily and most suggested Foam Masters tips. However, the Foam Masters are way overpriced for what they are, so I thought I'd give these a try. I'm glad I did. These fit great, and I'm so happy I don't have my AirPods slipping out anymore."
Have small ears? These should work, says this reviewer. "Absolutely phenomenal, fits perfectly ... does not ever hurt your ears and is just a wonderful thing to have in general. This is my second pair after my dog chewed up my first, and I felt so bad about not leaving this company a good review. But these were the best earbud holder thingies that anyone could ever ask for, especially if you're small like me and you have a hard time finding sizes for your ear holes."
Cons 👎
The foam tips are a bit harder to clean than silicone, said one four-star audiophile. "I wish I could give it 4.5 stars. I love these earpieces so much. They fit so comfortably and way better than the ones that come with the AirPods. My only reason for not doing a full five stars is the fact that they are a little harder to clean, and if you wear them a lot, then you’ll have to replace them after several months."
Another reviewer says that "the silicone tips are definitely superior for noise-cancellation. So, you're sacrificing that a bit, but you're gaining never (almost) having to readjust your AirPods every two minutes. I wish the silicone tips worked for my ears, but they don't, and it drove me crazy."
