When you hear the phrase "iconic comeback," what comes to mind? Michael Jordan's 1995 return to basketball, perhaps, or maybe Pamela Anderson's rise to celebrated-actress status? As shopping editors, we have a different kind of resurgence on the brain. I'm talking about Amazon Prime Day, of course, which is slated for Tuesday, July 8, through Friday, July 11. According to the mega-retailer, this 96-hour sale promises "deep discounts across more than 35 categories including electronics, kitchen, beauty and apparel." Add July 4 deals to the mix, and there's sure to be a little — or a lot of — something for everyone.
Our team of shopping experts will provide updates as it gets closer, and in the meantime? If the prospect of scoring fabulous prices excites you, we've spied some stellar on-sale gems at Amazon already.
The best early Prime Day deals
Staying hydrated is important all year, but especially as the temps rise. This sought-after tumbler will quench your thirst on the go while keeping drinks cold (or warm if you're a hot-coffee-or-bust kind of person) for hours at a time.
It'll fit right in your car's cupholder, has a splash-resistant lid and, perhaps most importantly, is dishwasher safe. Plus, Yeti is one of those brands that doesn't really need to have sales, so any time you see a discount, it's wise to pounce.
Apple products are so sought after that they don't really need to go on sale, and when they do, it's often because they're older models. This is the latest version of this iPad, which makes the markdown all the more impressive. According to Yahoo Senior Deals Writer Chris McGraw, who specializes in all things tech, "It's an ultra-light, thin tablet that's powerful enough to replace your laptop for most tasks but slips into your bag without a second thought. With a large 11-inch Liquid Retina display, you're swiping and scrolling in vibrant color and sharpness that makes any screen that came before feel like an old tube TV.
"If you've got a habit of toggling between a dozen apps, streaming videos and replying to messages at once, you're in for a treat. This iPad is ready to keep up with whatever you throw its way. And if you're into gaming, the graphics capabilities mean you can play even demanding games without dropping a frame."
If the thought of making ice cream at home is intimidating to you, these have your name on them. Really, they couldn't be easier to use — just make sure your mugs are frozen for at least 24 hours, then mix up your ice cream base (there's a recipe book included). Once your mugs are sufficiently chilled (you want them to be really cold), you'll add your base, turn 'em on and they'll start churning away. You can also add mix-ins of your choosing via the pour chutes while they're running, and in about 20 minutes, you'll have ice cream. Simple, right?
This duo rarely dips lower than this, so scoop 'em up for their lowest price in over a year.
According to Senior Tech Writer Rick Broida, "Open-ear headphones are all the rage, but they're usually not cheap: Prices typically start over $100 and rise from there.
"Behold the pleasant surprise that is the Baseus Bass BC1, a cuff-style open-ear headphone that I just started testing — but so far, so good. Comfy fit, decent sound, more bass than I expected and a price tag of just $29. Grab these before they jump back up to their already-pretty-amazing regular price of $40."

"A maxi is one of my favorite pieces to reach for when I'm looking for an easy, effortless outfit that combines comfort and style," says Senior Style Writer Rebecca Carhart. "This option caught my attention because so many reviewers have raved about how soft it is, to the point that several say it feels like wearing pajamas — an idea I can get firmly behind!
"Did I mention there are pockets? Never expected in a dress, but always appreciated, so you can stash a few small essentials while you run errands or slip your phone into one instead of digging around in your purse. There are a whopping 45+ styles — solids and prints of every variety — and certain options are on sale for as little as $18." (That's an all-time low at 40% off.)

These days, many people are ditching their plastic cutting boards. If you're looking to do the same, bamboo is an excellent alternative, and this set includes not one, not two, but three sturdy boards and a nifty holder. Because you're getting a variety of sizes, you'll be able to designate one board for meats, one for produce and another for smaller mincing tasks. Oh, and this trio rarely dips lower than its current price.

Don't want your new vac to suck a ton of cash from your wallet? This sleek stick's a rare $74 (it's only dipped lower than this once). It boasts strong suction for zapping up everything from dust to pet hair, and provides up to 40 minutes of run time per charge. Plus, its LED lights help you see those darker spaces, and its cyclonic filtration system traps airborne particles as well.

When you think of under-eye skin care that's actually effective, are you also envisioning large dollar signs? According to Senior Beauty Editor Jennifer Romolini, it doesn't cost a lot to give that area a glow-up. "If you're looking for a low-cost retinol treatment to help with dark pigmentation, this is for you," she says. "RoC is the premier name in over-the-counter retinol, and its eye cream is highly rated ... It's excellent for improving the appearance of both fine lines and dark circles, and it's dermatologist recommended too. I only wish it contained more antioxidant, nourishing ingredients. But for the price, it honestly cannot be beat."
Speaking of price, this is about as low as I've seen it in months.

You'll never go wrong with the classic look of Hanes, and Yahoo readers and Amazon shoppers alike can't get enough of these supremely comfortable shorts. They're made of a soft cotton-blend material, have an adjustable drawstring waist and, very conveniently, pockets. Reviewers of all ages have been singing their praises, and they've rarely dipped lower than this all year.
Why not swap the painful (and tedious) string floss for this oral-hygiene hero, which gently yet effectively uses a stream of water to dislodge anything trapped between your teeth. It was designed to be compact enough to travel with (it's cordless!), and this is as low as I've seen it since October. Plus, it includes four tips so the whole family can use it.
Thick pants just won't cut it on those particularly humid days, but these trousers are made of a lightweight cotton-linen blend, making them airy and comfortable. You'll get a custom fit via the adjustable drawstring waist, and, maybe best of all, they have pockets. These No. 1 bestsellers are down to the lowest price I've seen.

If you've had one of these bad boys on your wishlist for a while, I'd urge you to scoop up this deal while you can. Why? Well, the discount brings this top-selling model down to one of its best prices ever. Roomba and robovacs are pretty much synonymous at this point, and the fact that this one doubles as a mop makes the 43% markdown even sweeter.

This might be the coolest (pun intended) gadget I've seen all year. No, misting devices are nothing new, but this one does triple duty as a pedestal and tabletop fan. It can be used indoors or outside, has up to an impressive 70-foot reach and can lower temps by as much as 12°. There are five speeds and two breeze modes to choose from, oscillating and tilting options ... in short, if you're looking to cool down this summer, you can't go wrong. Did I mention it just dipped to an all-time low price to boot?

This is the very hand vac I use at home, and let me tell you — it's so much more powerful than its lightweight feel would imply. Is it bulkier than some of the other hand vacuums out there? Yes, but that's to be expected, given its industrial-strength performance. That said, it's portable enough to bring from room to room without it feeling like a workout, and that's all I can ask for. Well, that and an incredible price — and this one is a record low. Bonus: You don't have to purchase the battery and charger separately.

Your morning hair routine is about to get a lot easier, thanks to this multitasking tool. It dries and styles all at the same time, meaning you won't have to juggle a brush in one hand and a blow dryer in the other; use it to give yourself a sleek, smooth blowout or wavy curls. At just $40 (70% off), it's far more affordable than the Dyson Airwrap.
Never fight with your family members over power outlets again. This electrifying gadget boasts five AC outlets and four USB ports, enough for everyone to charge their devices at once. Oh, and it's so much sleeker than having a power strip on your floor (and there's no way you'll trip over it).
No, it's not a massive discount, but this top-seller is within a buck of its all-time low (and it's retailed for as much as $20 in the past).
This sturdy sling is teeming with compartments, including a front zipper pocket, a mesh water bottle holder and a shoulder strap phone pocket.
Senior Deals Writer Carrie McCabe swears by it after it accompanied her on a trip to Italy. "The bag not only had to stand up to wet conditions, but the rigors of heavy use: me constantly putting it on and taking it off, adjusting the strap and opening it multiple times a day," she says. "I also had to carry enough items to get me through up to 12 hours of sightseeing."
At over 40% off, it's down to its best price since 2023.
This all-season comforter is right up Goldilocks' alley: oh-so-soft and cozy enough for the colder months, but not too stuffy during the summer. The classic white version is more than 50% off, bringing it down to just $24. In fact, it's close to as low as I've seen it in years. Plus, it has tens of thousands of five-star ratings to back it up (in addition to mine — I love it!), so if you're even thinking about adding it to your cart, now would be a smart time.
Lying out on the deck or by the pool is about to get even more heavenly, thanks to these ergonomic chaises that'll make you feel like you're floating. The backs and footrests can be adjusted to your desired angle, and each chair includes a built-in tray with two cupholders. Apply the on-page coupon to snag 'em for their best price in months.
If a smaller screen suits your needs, you won't do much better than this highly affordable No. 1 bestseller. It's equipped with Alexa voice control and is compatible with Apple AirPlay, meaning you can pair it with your Apple device to broadcast photos and videos on the screen. Plus, at a mere $70, it's down to its best price of 2025 — and my price trackers tell me it's never been on sale for less.

Bigger isn't always better, and this compact crusher is proof. It weighs less than 2 pounds and holds just enough for a single serving. But the coolest part? It's battery-powered, meaning you can whiz up refreshing beverages on the go. Designed to fit in most cupholders, this blitzer can accompany you on road trips, to the gym, the office ... just about anywhere. Toss in your ingredients and blend away en route to work — that'll give you a few more minutes of shut-eye in the morning.
It's only dipped lower than its current price by $5, and not very often.
In case you're not familiar with the "rich mom" trend that's currently sweeping the style world, here's how I'd sum it up: dressing like one has money without being flashy about it. That means a wardrobe filled with simple-yet-chic staples like this crisp striped number that looks put together in the easiest, breeziest way. Layer it over a tank on cooler summer nights or tuck it into some trousers for the office. The blue-and-white striped version is particularly timeless, and a steal at nearly 50% off (within $2 of its all-time low).
The best meals are the ones you can make by tossing all of the ingredients into one cooking vessel, then setting and forgetting. That's probably why these appliances are such fan favorites — and this model, with its nine functions in one, is so versatile, it just might become the most-used thing in your kitchen.
Make rice, sear chicken ... or heck, even whip up some yogurt. You'll be able to cook enough food to feed six people, so I'll be awaiting my dinner party invitation. Oh, and this 50% discount brings the price down to its lowest of 2025 — for comparison, a 3-quart version is only $10 less.
