It has been a busy offseason for the Phoenix Suns as they have torn apart their roster and rebuilt it by making multiple moves.
Phoenix began their offseason by trading Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the pick that they used to select Khaman Maluach and five second-round picks.

On draft night, the Suns made another trade as they acquired Mark Williams from the Charlotte Hornets before selecting Maluach, Rasheer Fleming and Koby Brea.
Phoenix then agreed to a contract buyout with Bradley Beal, officially ending their big three era that was a complete disaster.

Now the Suns are looking to retool their roster around Devin Booker, who they just signed to a massive contract extension that will keep in Phoenix until 2030.
Despite their moves this offseason, Bleacher Report’s Mo Dakhil listed the Suns as one of the teams in the NBA that got worse this summer.
“The Phoenix Suns have been a disaster since Mat Ishbia bought the team. This offseason has not been much different,” Dakhil wrote. “Since the Suns began the offseason above the second apron, they didn’t have the ability to make a major splash in free agency. They did just come to an agreement with Booker on a max extension, keeping him under contract until 2030. That is good news for the Suns, but they’re far from contending anytime soon.”
While Dakhil makes a great point about how the Suns have been a disaster since Ishbia took over, along with them being over the second apron costing them free agent targets, Phoenix may not have had as bad of an offseason as many think.

The Suns have been able to break up their star trio and in return have made multiple moves to address key areas of need for them, especially at the center position.
Also, the Suns are now out of the second apron with Beal’s buyout, which means that more moves could be coming this summer and while the Suns may not be a playoff team next season, they may surprise some people.
