In an exciting update for FC Barcelona, it has been confirmed that the renovated Spotify Camp Nou has now been officially registered with La Liga.
This means the legendary stadium is once again listed as the club’s home ground on the competition’s official website.
The Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys de Montjuic, where Barcelona have been playing during the renovations, is no longer listed as their stadium.
On La Liga’s website, the Spotify Camp Nou appears with its pre-construction image, marking the first official sign that Barcelona are getting closer to returning to their historic home.
This change aligns with recent news that Barcelona will play the Joan Gamper Trophy at Camp Nou, and with club president Joan Laporta’s comments expressing hope to welcome fans back at full capacity by September.
A new chapter

Even though this registration is a big step forward, Barcelona fans should be aware that the stadium won’t be fully finished until the summer of 2026.
Until then, the Camp Nou will operate with a reduced capacity, using only the first and second tiers while the upper levels remain under construction.
To accommodate the final stages of the renovation, Barcelona have asked La Liga to schedule their first three league matches of the 2025-26 season away from home.
That means Barça will start the campaign with trips to Mallorca, Levante, and Rayo Vallecano.
The official return of competitive football to the Spotify Camp Nou is planned for Matchday 4, when Barcelona will host Valencia.
Before that, and pending official confirmation, Hansi Flick’s team will play the Joan Gamper Trophy at the newly renovated Camp Nou on August 10 against Como.
This match is expected to draw around 60,000 fans eager to see their team back at their true home.
