During the searches at the scene, a gun that was most likely used by the terrorist during the attack was found.
Security forces on Friday arrested the terrorist who, a day earlier, shot at shepherds in the Malachi Hashalom area, northeast of Ramallah, wounding one, the IDF and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) said in a joint statement.
The man is in his thirties and is from the area of Al Mughayyir. During Shin Bet questioning, the terrorist provided information linking him to the attack, the statement said.

The IDF is operating across all fronts with constant vigilance, Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir told troops during a situational assessment and field tour of Tulkarm in the West Bank earlier on Friday, adding, "We do not have the privilege to ease up."
Also on Thursday, Israeli forces shot a suspected terrorist who approached the Tamar checkpoint in a Hebron neighborhood carrying an air gun. The suspect was shot when he did not respond to calls to stop.

Security forces arrest 90 wanted terror suspects throughout West Bank
Security forces arrested 90 wanted terror suspects throughout the West Bank in the last week as part of the ongoing effort to prevent terrorism in the Palestinian territory, the IDF said.
Among the arrested terrorists were two key terrorists from Tubas and Jenin. During the operations, troops seized weapons including rifles, pistols, and explosives, as well as tens of thousands of shekels intended for terrorist activity.
"Like in all sectors, we do not wait; we prevent a threat before it grows. Terrorism strikes precisely where you are unprepared, and therefore we tailor the precise operational response to each sector," Zamir said.
"The activity in the refugee camps is thorough and significant – you are uprooting the roots of terrorism and ensuring it cannot grow back.
"Today, there is no place in Judea and Samaria that cannot be reached; we are everywhere, at the right time, to prevent attacks and continue to enable operational freedom of action," he continued.
Zamir conducted the field tour along with the Central Command head, the head of the Operations Directorate, and the West Bank Division commander.
During the tour, Zamir spoke with soldiers and commanders of the Paratroopers Brigade, expressing appreciation for their work in securing the region. "Your contribution is essential for maintaining the security of the residents," Zamir told them.
"The campaign is ongoing, and we are expanding operations in Gaza," Zamir added, without providing more details on the operation.
