Russia launched a wave of attacks on Ukraine using more than 100 combat drones, President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday.
"Russian drones have been flying over Ukraine all morning. And this has become a daily occurrence," Zelensky wrote on Telegram, adding that since the start of the week, a total of 375 combat drones have been deployed.
The drones targeted the cities of Kharkiv, Dnipro and the mining town of Dobropillia, resulting in one death and about 50 injuries.
Zelensky called for stronger international action against Russia, urging the imposition of "strong additional sanctions" to pressure Moscow into ending the war it started in February 2022.
He also emphasized the need for increased military support for Ukraine, particularly in the form of additional air defence systems to counter the ongoing drone attacks.
