According to Il Resto del Carlino, Asllani wanted a four-year contract worth €2 million net per season. He would have gone down to €1.8 million net per season.

Bologna, meanwhile, were offering wages of €1.6 million. That would be in line with the base amount that Riccardo Orsolini and Ciro Immobile earn.

According to Il Resto del Carlino, however, wages were not the only issue for Asllani.

The 23-year-old also had doubts about how much he would play at Bologna.

In particular, the Rossoblu did not guarantee Asllani a place in their Europa League squad list. They wanted to guarantee places to Nikola Moro and Giovanni Fabbian, as a reward for helping them qualify.

European football would have been one of the main selling points for Asllani at Bologna.

On the other hand, Il Resto del Carlino report, Torino have offered Asllani guarantees that he will be a key part of their starting eleven under Marco Baroni.
