Inter Milan are on the verge of appointing Cristian Chivu as their new coach. The Romanian will reportedly terminate his contract with Parma tomorrow, and then take over from Simone Inzaghi officially.

One of the key aspects that Chivu will bring to Inter is experience with the youth team.

In his short coaching career so far, the 44-year-old has shown a great willingness to trust younger players.

Two players who Chivu worked with plenty during his time in the Inter youth system were attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni and striker Francesco Pio Esposito.

Both of the pair are now back from loans out last season. Carboni was at Marseille before a knee injury cut his season short. Meanwhile, Pio Esposito enjoyed an explosive season with Spezia in Serie B.

Therefore, Chivu will have a chance to assess both of the two young players at the Club World Cup.

The 44-year-old has already gotten excellent performances from both Carboni and Pio Esposito at youth team level.

Therefore, if Chivu likes what he sees at the Club World Cup, they could be candidates to have a part in the Inter senior team next campaign under the Romanian.
