The man who brought a championship to the Toronto Raptors is leaving the franchise. The Raptors and team president Masai Ujiri are parting ways, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
The move comes as an unusual time. Ujiri just took part in the 2025 NBA Draft with the Raptors, and was entering the final year of his contract.
Ujiri initially joined the Raptors in 2013. The team experienced success early in his tenure, finishing first or second in the division seven straight seasons after he became its general manager.

Ujiri's tenure with the team peaked during the 2018-19 NBA season, when the Raptors defeated the Golden State Warriors to win the NBA championship.
