The Los Angeles Rams have already made several big moves to their wide receiver group this offseason, which included releasing veteran staple Cooper Kupp, who eventually signed with the Seattle Seahawks.
However, they wound up signing Davante Adams, a six-time Pro Bowler, to a two-year, $44 million contract, keeping him with the team through the 2026 season to serve as a replacement.
They may not be done making moves yet either, as Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton recently predicted that the Rams will sign free agent wide receiver Amari Cooper.
“The Los Angeles Rams can maximize Matthew Stafford’s late career years with an established group of wide receivers… In Los Angeles, Cooper would join a playoff-caliber team that has a well-respected quarterback under center,” Moton wrote. “[Puka] Nacua, Adams and Cooper would be one of the league’s top receiver trios.”

It would be a big addition for the Rams because after 10 years in the NFL, Cooper has proven to be a solid player, accumulating 711 receptions, 10,033 yards and 64 touchdowns on 1,163 targets.
2024 was certainly a down year, though, as he split time with the Cleveland Browns (six games) and Buffalo Bills (eight games), hitting career lows in receptions (44), yards (547) and touchdowns (four).
Considering that Cooper will also be 31 years old by the start of the 2025 season, the Rams would likely be able to sign him to a short-term contract, meaning risk could be kept to a minimum.
However, some money might still need to be shelled out, as Spotrac predicts that Cooper’s market value will earn him a two-year, $37.8 million contract with an annual salary of $18.9 million.
It will remain to be seen if the Rams are interested in making a move like this to give Stafford another weapon as they look to make the playoffs for a third consecutive year.
