Namibian striker Peter Shalulile, a player for Mamelodi Sundowns, has written a new chapter in the history of the South African Premier Soccer League by netting a goal during his team's 2-0 victory over Magesi on Wednesday night, in the third round of the championship. His goal, fired in from outside the box, brings his PSL tally to 129 goals (102 with Sundowns and 27 with Highlands Park), equalling the record of former legend Siyabonga Nomvethe, who had held the top scorer title since the league's inception in 1996.After the match, Shalulile shared his ambition to surpass this milestone: "My goal is to score in every game. I'm confident the goals will come, and I'm looking forward to my first full season as a starter. I don't like to talk too much about the top scorer title, but I'm sure everything will work out just fine."Thanks to this victory, Sundowns reach 7 points and sit third in the standings, behind Sekhukhune United and Kaizer Chiefs, both leading with 9 points.
