Patrick Mahomes' Family Makes Public Appearance After Chiefs' Loss

Patrick Mahomes did not play during the Kansas City Chiefs’ preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks on Friday, but it doesn’t look like he’s too concerned about his lack of snaps.

The Chiefs QB threw only one pass in the Chiefs’ first preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals. While his status for their most recent game against the Seahawks was uncertain all along, there was at least some hope that he would throw a couple of passes.

Instead, the Chiefs opted to start Gardner Minshew and had Bailey Zappe and Chris Oladokun play as well. Kansas City ended up losing 33-16.

Patrick Mahomes and His Family Make Public Appearance

Despite the fact that Patrick Mahomes didn’t play, he still made headlines the following day. He was spotted making an appearance at the Kansas City Current’s showdown with the Orlando Pride in the NWSL.

Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, are co-owners of the Current franchise.

In a post by the Current, they shared photos of the power couple along with their three kids: Sterling Skye, Bronze and Golden Raye.

“Mahomes family outing,” the Current wrote in the caption. “@patrickmahomes @brittanylynne in the house.”

Several fans absolutely loved seeing the Chiefs star and his wife and kids spend some sweet family time, with one commenter writing, “Beautiful family.”

“Seeing this side of the mahomes too ~ sweetest family,” a fan added. Another one said, “Those babies are all so beautiful!!!!”

“Adorable family,” a supporter remarked.

A social media user shared, “Such a beautiful family!!Those kids are adorable.”

The Mahomeses’ support has helped the Current rise quickly in the NWSL. Just five seasons in, the club has established itself as one of the most valuable teams in the league.

In the latest Forbes evaluation, the Current ranked second in the NWSL in terms of value at $275 million, behind only the Angel City FC with a $280 million valuation.

Brittany Mahomes is one of the co-founders of the team along with business partners Angie Long and Chris Long. Patrick Mahomes joined his wife in the Current ownership group in 2022, becoming the first active NFL player to have an ownership stake in an NWSL club.
