Oregon State’s Collective Dam Nation Moving To A Third Party

Oregon State’s Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) Collective, Dam Nation, is under new management ahead of the 2025-2026 Oregon State Athletics season.

A third-party entity, Blueprint Sports, will now manage Oregon State’s official NIL Collective, in a multi-year partnership that will have the day-to-day operations of Dam Nation under the umbrella of Blueprint Sports, which currently work with more than 70 athletic departments across the country and have helped secure over $100 million in NIL deals, according to their website.

“Partnering with Blueprint Sports further enhances the OSUnited program and reinforces our commitment to provide our student-athletes and supporters the best service and resources,” said Vice President and Director of Athletics, Scott Barnes. “Blueprint Sports will only increase the impact of Dam Nation as we continue to grow and support NIL opportunities for our student-athletes. For our fans, this partnership will bring new opportunities, events and benefits that we anticipate being a leap forward in their overall experience.”

The partnership between Oregon State Athletics and Blueprint will subsequently allow Dam Nation to be monitored by a team of on-site Blueprint Sports executives, who will oversee fan engagement, corporate sponsorships, and special events.

“Oregon State has shown a bold commitment to its current and future student-athletes, and we’re proud to be selected as their NIL partner during this transformative period in college sports,” said Rob Sine, CEO of Blueprint Sports. “By integrating our proven model directly into Oregon State Athletics, we’ll be innovating and supporting a sustainable, scalable NIL operation that empowers student-athletes, provides value to sponsors, and unites the Beaver community in new and meaningful ways.”

With the Dam Nation partnership with Blueprint Sports, there is also a restructuring of roles within the Oregon State Athletic Department to reflect the new changes in how Oregon State will approach NIL from now on.

Kyle Bjornstad, a former Beaver student-athlete and co-founder of Dam Nation in 2022, will now serve as Oregon State Athletics’ General Manager, and his responsibilities will include overseeing the NIL operations of all of Oregon State Athletics’ programs and working side-by-side with the on-site Blueprint Sports executives operating Dam Nation.

“I couldn’t be more honored and thankful to be offered the opportunity to serve as OSU Athletics’ General Manager,” said Bjornstad. “Additionally, I couldn’t be more proud of the meaningful opportunities that Dam Nation provided to both Beaver student-athletes and supporters over the past three years. To be able to hand the Dam Nation keys over to the national leader in this space is exciting, and I have no doubt that Blueprint Sports will continue to do right by our student-athletes and supporters, while taking Dam Nation to the next level.”

In addition to changes in Bjornstad’s role within Dam Nation and Oregon State Athletics, Justin Johnson will now hold the position of NIL Business Manager. This full-time NIL-dedicated position provides additional support to student-athletes and sponsors via Beaver Sports Properties under Learfield.

“Kyle stepped up and did a tremendous job during his time running Dam Nation. As he hands that off to Blueprint Sports, we are thrilled to be able to retain him as our General Manager,” said Barnes. “The addition of the Blueprint Sports staff, as well as Kyle and Justin, bolsters the OSUnited program, and we look forward to the new opportunities that will be available to our student-athletes and Beaver Nation.”
