Krzysztof Piątek’s rise to fame was a swashbuckling one, which included a ridiculous season at Genoa. Although the period in between has seen highs and lows, fans of Italian football would love to know that the Polish striker is still firing goals, now at Qatar. During the summer window, Piątek moved from Istanbul Basaksehir to Al Duhail in the Qatar Stars League. At Al Duhail, he has taken to the league like a duck to water, scoring a fantastic hattrick earlier today against Umm Salal in what was just his 4th game for the club. This is no surprise, given that during his stint in Turkey, he bagged 48 times in just 84 games. At Al Duhail, he’s playing with the likes of Marco Verratti and Luis Alberto. Piątek needs to continue the run of form he has showed over the last couple of years. With the World Cup approaching next summer, the 30 year old would want to continue to be involved with the Polish national team as well. Kaulik Mitra | GIFN
