The No. 2 Texas Longhorns hosts the No. 9 TCU Horned Frogs at The Greg on Wednesday. The Horned Frogs are 7-1 on the 2025 season and look to disrupt the Longhorns and continue a winning streak since losing their home opener to now-No. 5 Pitt. In this in-state rivalry, Texas holds a series lead of 25-1 — TCU’s only win against Texas was a 3-0 sweep in 2015.
Sophomore outside hitter Evan Hendrix has slammed 106 kills with 72 digs and 18 blocks for TCU. Graduate setter Ella Froti lends a hand with 170 assists and shoveling 72 digs as junior setter Archer Rosemary helps out with 163 assists. Sophomore libero Alice Volpe holds the back line down with 125 digs and five aces while senior middle blocker Sarah Sylvester stands strong at the net with 39 blocks and 44 kills on the 2025 season. TCU’s aggressiveness at the net and the ability to counter have been a highlight for the Horned Frogs .
Junior outside Torrey Stafford and senior libero Emma Halter at the helm helm the Horns as true freshman outside hitter Cari Spears was named freshman SEC Player of the Week in over two matches, notching 4.25 kills per set and averagoig a .306 attack percentage. Junior setter Ella Swindle leads the Longhorns in assists with 185 with sophomore middle blocker Ayden Ames is stepping up at the net with 23 blocks. Defensive awareness and offensive aggressiveness have kept the Longhorns as a juggernaut that aims to keep the undefeated streak alive against their in-state rivals.
