Nikola Jokic's NBA History Surfaces Before Pivotal Nuggets-Clippers Game 7

Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic has been brilliant in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

Nothing new for the Serbian superstar, however, as he posted a career-best season. To make matters that much more absurd, Jokic has taken home three of the past four MVP trophies, yet he topped all of those campaigns.

After getting up 3-2 in a first-round series against the LA Clippers, the Nuggets failed to close the series out in Game 6 in the Intuit Dome.

Cue a Game 7 in the Mile High City, as Jokic and the Nuggets will aim to close out the Clippers once and for all, with the winner set to take on the No. 1-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder.

Jokic has averaged a first-round triple-double, just as he did in the regular season.

The Nuggets' superstar center will be pivotal in helping Denver close out the Clippers.

There isn't any guarantee as to how Jokic's supporting cast will play. They've wavered throughout the first-round series.

However, one could assume a 40-point triple-double would be enough for the Nuggets to close out the Clippers -- and any NBA fan should know Jokic is more than capable of doing so.

Jokic's NBA history surfaces before Game 7

Historically, Jokic has been good in Game 7 matchups. In fact, he's the only player in history to have averaged 25-plus points, 15-plus rebounds and 5-plus assists in Game 7s, as StatMuse shared on X.

James Harden has shown struggles in the past in closing out pivotal series. His play has wound down later in a series. However, the Clippers have Kawhi Leonard to stabilize the ship.

Both sides will have to lean on their one key player -- and how their supporting casts step up could make all the difference.
