The Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) has arrested two top former Transnet executives linked to an allegedly corrupt multimillion-rand locomotive tender.

The Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) has arrested three top former Transnet executives linked to an allegedly corrupt multimillion-rand locomotive tender.

The two executives, Brian Molefe and Siyabonga Gama, surrendered themselves to the police on Monday morning and are expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.

Former Transnet CFO Anoj Singh and the parastatal’s former engineering chief executive Thamsanqa Jiyane have also been arrested and will make their first appearance in court alongside Molefe and Gama.

The arrests are in connection with a locomotive tender.
