Millie Bobby Brown is a mom. The Stranger Things actress, 21, and her husband Jake Bongiovi, 23, announced via an Instagram post that they adopted a baby girl.

“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” Brown wrote on Instagram. She concluded the post with, “And then there were 3.”

Brown, who will star in the final season of Stranger Things when it drops on Netflix beginning Nov. 26, married Bongiovi — son of singer Jon Bon Jovi — in May 2024 in a private ceremony before having a bigger reception in Italy months later. In a March 2025 episode of the SmartLess podcast with Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes, she spoke about wanting children.

"I'm still really young, but my mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19, and you know, it's been my thing since before I met Jake," she said at the time.

She added, “I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me and ... my grandmother is — she was a huge part of my life.”

Brown also spoke about adopting a child on the podcast, though she did not say she had any immediate plans.

"I don't see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting," she explained. "For me, like, my home is full of love for anyone and anything, and so that is what we stand by, Jake and I — our energy in the house is like, 'The door is always open.'"

Though we don’t know any specific details about Brown and Bongiovi’s adoption, they are on the young side for adopting a child. According to the National Council for Adoption, parents who chose infant adoption averaged 35 years old, with 94% married at the time of adoption, and generally had the highest levels of education and household income.
