A few weeks into the NBA offseason, many notable players have found new homes via free agency or trade. However, there are still plenty of other key players who are waiting to see what their future holds in the NBA. This includes Washington Wizards free agent guard Malcolm Brogdon.

Last year, the Wizards acquired Brogdon from the Portland Trail Blazers for Deni Avdija. In his first season with Washington, the Atlanta native averaged 12.7 points on 43.3% shooting in 24 games. Now, the former Boston Celtics award winner remains a free agent, though that might change soon enough based on the latest reports.

Recently, reports surfaced that suggested there were four teams interested in Brogdon, including the Golden State Warriors (h/t Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report). Furthermore, according to Fischer, he does not expect Brogdon to reunite with the Milwaukee Bucks, especially after they recently signed Cole Anthony after he was bought out by the Memphis Grizzlies.

“For Malcolm Brogdon—I don’t think Milwaukee is still a landing spot for him, especially after they brought in Cole Anthony on a buyout from Memphis. But teams like Sacramento, New Orleans, Minnesota, [and] Golden State …still have plenty of interest in Brogdon,” Fischer said.

As the Warriors look to make a deep playoff run next year, it will be important for them to bolster their roster as much as possible. Signing Brogdon could help elevate the team, especially as another ball-handler alongside Stephen Curry.

For now, it seems that the 32-year-old still has a robust market in free agency. Whether that will culminate in him signing with the Warriors as they look to add another championship to the collection remains to be seen.
