The alarming details of a 911 call made before Liam Payne's death at 31 have been revealed.

The former One Direction singer was pronounced dead after falling multiple stories at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Wednesday, Oct. 16, Policía Federal Argentina confirmed to PEOPLE.

Per local outlets La Nacion and Clarin, as well as Sky News, the hotel's chief receptionist called 911 after becoming worried about Payne's behavior.

According to a translated La Nacion transcript of the call, the worker said the musician was intoxicated and presumed he was "under the influence of alcohol and drugs," insisting that someone needed to come "urgently" to the location. The outlet stated the call was made at 5:01 p.m. local time, shortly before Payne's death around 10 minutes later.

"What I’m asking is for someone to come urgently," the worker said, per a transcript shared by the BBC.

The person on the other end of the line confirmed that SAME (Buenos Aires' public emergency medical services system) was on its way, per the outlet. Throughout the call, Payne's name was not mentioned.

Sky News reported the worker said the guest's life might be "in danger" because he was "in a room with a balcony."

"We're afraid he could do something that threatens his life," the manager — who said his name was "Esteban" — added, according to the translated call published by the outlet, which also revealed Payne had been at the hotel for "three days."

The BBC transcript stated that the worker said that Payne had been "trashing the entire room" before his death.
