Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are set to launch their UEFA Champions League adventures in Turin on Tuesday night. Both teams are determined to make a statement in the opening group fixture.

Igor Tudor will have most of his first-choice players available for selection. However, winger Francisco Conceição might miss out after suffering a muscle injury that sidelined him during international duty with Portugal, which makes him doubtful for the much-anticipated clash against Dortmund.

There are also concerns for Fabio Miretti, who is nursing a thigh problem that kept him out of the recent 4-3 win over Inter Milan. That win over Inter extended the Old Lady’s record to three wins from three in Serie A this season. Juventus will now hope to start their European campaign in similarly strong fashion.

Up front, Jonathan David could feature prominently. The Canadian forward lit up the Champions League last season for Lille, finding the net against some of Europe’s elite including Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, and Juventus.

David has already showcased his scoring touch this season, but Dusan Vlahovic remains a strong candidate to lead the line after his influential performances to start this campaign.
