The Kansas City Chiefs lost their No. 1 receiver in Week 1 after having already lost their other No. 1 receiver to a suspension to start the year. They are hurting at the position. It appears Xavier Worthy will play through his shoulder injury, but playing this week would be a quick turnaround.

One receiver who will need to step up is JuJu Smith-Schuster. He did step up in Week 1, catching all five of his targets for 55 yards. Those five looks were the second-most on the team, but Hollywood Brown dominated the stat with 16 targets. We could see those targets a bit more spread out this week, but Brown should remain the top guy in a group full of oldies and cast offs.

Below, we’ll go over JuJu Smith-Schuster’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 2.

Fantasy Football analysis: Chiefs, WR, JuJu Smith-Schuster

Smith-Schuster is just a possession receiver at this point and needs plenty of targets or a touchdown to have much fantasy value. This game does set up well for him to get those targets, as the Eagles will keep the game close or take the lead, while the Chiefs will do their usual pass-first, up tempo offense to give Patrick Mahomes as many chances to do his thing.

Start or sit in Week 2 PPR leagues?

Sit. Smith-Schuster doesn’t have much upside at this point in his career. What you get from him here is hopefully a decent 4-6 receptions for 40-60 yards. That’s good enough for a flex/WR4 spot where you need him, but I’m fading if I have another receiver with a higher ceiling.

Start or sit in Week 2 standard leagues?

Sit. We will need a touchdown from Smith-Schuster for him to pay off in standard leagues, which has me down on him mores than in PPR.
