Joe Joyce comeback against British rival planned for Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn 2 card

Joe Joyce could make a comeback against British rival, Richard Riakporhe, on the Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn 2 card on November 15 at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, London.

BOXXER promoter, Ben Shalom, said, We're pushing for Richard Riakporhe to be on this card. A fight against Joe Joyce is a great British heavyweight fight.

"I always felt that Richard was a heavyweight. It frustrated me that he couldn't perform at cruiserweight anymore - much like Lawrence Okolie.

"We got him back and he looked brilliant out in Riyadh." The 25-year-old Londoner forced Argentinian heavyweight Kevin Espindola - who went the six-round distance with Moses Itauma - to retire after four rounds last May on the Canelo-Scull card.

Shalom continued, "I'm excited for him to get into the heavyweight mix. He can do some serious damage now."

Promoter Frank Warren is one of very many who believe that Joyce's time in the sport is nearing the end. The Hall of Fame promoter said after his last loss, "He's got to go and have a real serious think about the future, which is what he will do.

"We'll have a chat and see where we go from there. He's been a great servant for British boxing, he's never in a boring fight. He's tough as old boots and done us proud in the Olympic Games."
