CONCORDIA, MINN. — The University of Jamestown track and field team went on the road to Cobber Open and came home with 18 top ten finishes on Saturday, May 3, at Concordia College’s Jake Christiansen Stadium.
The Jimmies had three wins in the events with Cole Campbell and Lilly Petty each won the 3k steeplechase event. They were joined atop the podium by Dawson Sedevic who set a personal record in the hammer throw with a 59.66 meters.
The Jimmies men’s team finished in third with 51 points. The Jimmies women’s team finished in fifth with 32 points. The men’s event was won by Concordia College with 323 points while the Cobbers also won the women’s event with 218 points.
The Jimmies are back in action on Thursday, May 8, when they go to the North Star Athletic Association Outdoor Championships with the time still to be determined.
