Former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe is heading to the Pacific Northwest after being drafted by the Seattle Seahawks with the 92nd pick in the 2025 NFL Draft last weekend.
After months of speculation over where he would land, Milroe has found a home with the NFC West franchise and could potentially see the field immediately with a special package of plays specifically designed for him. But there are still multiple questions to be asked about the former Alabama QB as he enters his rookie season.
One of those questions is what will Milroe's salary be as he steps into the NFL? Not all rookie salaries are created equal and each individual pick has a different value.
According to Spoctrac, Milroe is projected to sign a four-year contract worth $6,261,038 with the Seahawks. This is based on the rookie salary scale that descends from the top pick of the draft on down. For comparisons sake, No. 1 pick Cam Ward's contract with the Tennessee Titans is worth $48,757,500.
Per the NFL's current collective bargaining agreement, rookie contracts are fixed and unalterable in terms of length. First-round draftees are locked into a four-year deal with a club option for a fifth year while every other draftee gets the traditional four. So barring a trade or being cut, Milroe will be calling Seattle home through 2028.
Time will tell if the former Crimson Tide QB can play well enough to earn himself a second contract down the road in Seattle.
