- The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 20-17 in a Super Bowl LIX rematch on Sunday
- Chiefs lineman Chris Jones tried to trash talk Jalen Hurts at the end of the game, pointing out that he had less than 100 passing yards
- Hurts, however, told Jones to check the scoreboard, responding: "We won the f------ game"
Jalen Hurts told Chris Jones to take a closer look at the scoreboard Sunday as the Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman tried to trash talk the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback during the final seconds of the Eagles’ 20-17 win over the Chiefs.
The Super Bowl rematch was full of heated moments, as the Chiefs came up short and extended their losing streak to three games — the team’s longest drought since Patrick Mahomes took over as quarterback in 2018.
At the end of the game, the Chiefs' Jones, 31, aired his final frustrations towards Hurts, 27, and the Eagles’ offense as they knelt the ball in victory formation to run out the clock.
“You didn’t even have 100 yards!” Jones shouted, either appearing to reference the Eagles’ passing game, which finished with 94 passing yards, or running back Saquon Barkley, who finished the game with 88 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Hurts didn’t appear to be worried about any stats other than the final score, however.

“We won the f------ game, shut your ass up,” the Eagles quarterback fired back at Jones before kneeling the ball to cap off his team’s win.
The Chiefs’ loss puts them at 0-2 to start the season, which is the team’s worst start since 2014. It’s also the Chiefs’ second-straight loss to the Eagles, who dominated them in Super Bowl LIX in February with a blowout 40-22 win.
After Sunday’s game, Eagles offensive lineman Lane Johnson told ESPN that Jones "said a lot of stuff out there” throughout the game.
"He's probably one of the best s--- talkers in the league,” Johnson said. “Top notch."

But talking the talk is different than walking the walk, and the Chiefs have stumbled out the gate this season, as tensions appeared to be boiling over on the sidelines as Sunday’s game slipped away in the second half.
At one point, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce slammed his helmet on the sideline and appeared to yell, “I’m sick of this s---!” late in the second half.
“He’s trying to get guys fired up and going,” Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told reporters after the game. “I mean, that’s him. He’s that way every week if you keep an eye on him. He’s all-in, all the time. That’s the way he was today.”
Next week, the Chiefs head to New York City to take on the Giants on Sunday, Sept. 21.
