Insider confirms Liverpool are all in on £100m France forward

Liverpool could well be planning to move on from Mohamed Salah in summer 2026.

Even though the Egyptian King has signed a new contract through 2027 - it has been suggested that Richard Hughes will bring in a successor next summer.

This past transfer window saw the Reds conduct multiple incoming deals- but things are going to be more selective in a year’s time.

We could see the Anfield club bring in a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk AND Salah - giving any newcomers the chance to learn from a pair of legends before eventually taking over.

Liverpool watching £100m-rated Olise

In the case of Salah, 33, there is one clear name emerging as a preferred candidate.

Michael Olise, 23, has taken his game to a new level at Bayern Munich. The France international enjoyed a sensational debut campaign in the Bundesliga - scoring 12 goals and laying on 18 assists.

Olise, who cost around £53m from Crystal Palace in 2024, has also started this season in brilliant form - with transfer talk linking him to Liverpool now increasing.

It’s going to take a bid of £100m or more to bring Bayern to the table - with playmaker Olise contracted until 2029.

But certain reporters now claim the British-born Olise would fancy a return to the Premier League and Liverpool are the No1 contenders for his signature.

Olise's Bayern renewal could get difficult

It’s now been confirmed by Bayern Munich insider Christian Falk that Liverpool are indeed keeping an eye on Olise. Club bosses are plotting a renewal for the winger - but Falk also added that NO release clause exists in his current deal.

“The case of Michael Olise’s contract at Bayern Munich bears some similarity to Jamal Musiala’s case – if you wait a little too long, it’s getting difficult,” Falk said on CF Bayern Insider.

“In the past, clubs would happily open such talks a year before the contract expired. But now, things are different! If you see such quality as Olise possesses, you have to do it much earlier, otherwise, the Premier League will be quick to swoop. Manchester City are watching him, Liverpool are watching him.

“As long as his contract is running, you have a chance to keep him. Now, Bayern need to see if they can convince him that his future is in Munich. On the one hand, there is an argument to boost his salary in line with the quality of his performances, but on the other hand, Bayern still want to lower salaries throughout the squad. So, it’s not easy!”
