The ongoing feud between Darren Till and Carl Froch appears to be escalating, and the 'Cobra' has issued a warning to the ex-MMA fighter
An ex-super-middleweight world champion and Hall of Famer, Carl Froch, has recently engaged in a verbal exchange. Till, 2-0 (1), has been making repeated insulting comments about Froch.
Now, Froch has responded. He scoffed at the thought that the former UFC fighter signifies a challenge for him.
Earlier, Froch, 33-2 (24), said on Twitter: “There’s a guy called Darren Till. He’s been calling me out, chatting ****. Someone sent me a clip of him fighting someone called Jorge Masvidal.”
Identified for his granite chin and incredible desire to be victorious, Froch remains monumental in the British boxing history books and is perceived by many as having retired at the perfect time. However, he has often teased a comeback for the right offer.
“I don’t know what his problem is with the Cobra. He’s got to be realistic and realise that if he ever boxed me, he would get f**king ironed out. If he ever took me on in the cage, he might have a chance of beating me. But strikers are good in the cage. So I've got a chance. He seems to think that he's going to walk up to me and kick me in the face if he sees me. He won't get within two feet, and if he does get within two feet of me, I’ll render him unconscious,” said Carl Froch in a recent interview with Foot Italia.
Froch hung up his gloves in 2014 off the back of a knockout victory over George Groves at Wembley Stadium. He retired with a record of 33 wins and just two losses, one of which he avenged. He has since become a great boxing commentator.
