Highly-recruited 2026 prospect Jasleen Green commits to Arizona

Highly-recruited 2026 prospect Jasleen Green has committed to Arizona, she told Rivals. The 5-8 guard from Plantation (FL) American Heritage chose the Wildcats over Michigan State, Wake Forest, Georgetown and Auburn

“It was honestly everything,” Green told Rivals of why she chose Arizona. “The coaching staff, the area, the school. In Tucson, the college is the biggest sports team because they don’t have any professional team there, so it’s all about college sports. That was a really big thing for me as well. Coach [Becky] Burke and everyone on the staff has history in a way with either the WNBA or being former stars. They have so much experience, so I feel like I could build a name for myself and get a lot of exposure and hopefully win some championships.”

Burke recently took over at Arizona, but has quickly built a relationship with Green.

“Coach Burke has been on my back every day checking up on me,” Green said. “I built a relationship with her really fast and it’s been a good one. It’s been that way with the whole coaching staff, they’ve been really consistent. It was an easy decision for me.”

While this team is brand-new, Green can already see herself fitting into their play style.

“They have a really quick offense and I like getting downhill into transition right away,” Green said. “So they play in transition and she emphasizes defense. I think I can fit that really well. So pretty much just the defense and playing in transition – playing fast and getting quick buckets.”

Although her arrival is nearly a year away, Green is excited to get on campus and be a Wildcat.

“Competing for a Big 12 championship right away, for sure, and then hopefully winning Freshman of the Year, that’s definitely the goal,” she said.
