Hailey Van Lith and Angel Reese’s Appearance at Sky Media Day Grabs Attention

The Chicago Sky are one of the most intriguing teams heading into the 2025 WNBA season, and a big reason for that is second-year star Angel Reese.

Coming off a stellar rookie season, Reese led the league in rebounds, earned a WNBA All-Star spot, and finished second in Rookie of the Year voting behind Caitlin Clark.

While the Sky made several key changes after missing the postseason in 2024, one significant addition is rookie Hailey Van Lith, a former LSU teammate of Reese. Van Lith is expected to play a key role in her rookie season, which kicks off on May 17 when the Sky face the Indiana Fever.

Before that, the preseason begins on Friday, and on Tuesday, the organization hosted their media day, where players posed for pictures, played games, and created content for the season and the Sky’s social media platforms.

One video that quickly gained attention featured Reese and Van Lith posing together in their jerseys, sparking excitement among fans.

Check it out:

"Just fell to my knees," a fan jokingly said.

"ALMOST TIME!!" A fan posted

"Angel's hair giving Kysre's vibe," someone else added.

"MY SHAYLASSS OMGG," a fan remarked.

One more fan commented, "They look so good omg."

LSU Lady Tigers forward Angel Reese (10) and LSU Lady Tigers guard Hailey Van Lith (11) take questions from the media at MVP Arena.

The duo only spent one season together at LSU, and while it wasn’t during the Tigers' national championship run led by Reese, they still managed to guide LSU to the Elite Eight.

Van Lith had an impressive collegiate career, spending three seasons at Louisville before transferring to LSU for one year. She then capped off her college journey with a fifth year at TCU this past season.

Her efforts paid off when she was selected No. 11 overall and will now be a key piece for a rebuilding Chicago Sky team looking to improve on their 13-27 record from last season.
