Match scorecard

Glamorgan Women moved closer to a place on the Tier Two Blast finals day as they eased to a six-wicket win over Gloucestershire with 21 balls to spare and move top of the South Group.

A target of 115 proved relatively undemanding with loanee Bethan Ellis making the top score of 25 off 33 balls.

Lauren Parfitt's 23 off 15 gave them a positive start, while Charlotte Scarborough took them home with 21 not out.

Prarthana Reddy (39) steered Gloucestershire in their 114-8 with seamer Poppy Tulloch claiming 3-22.

Glamorgan, who are due to turn professional in Tier One in 2027, have four wins from five in the South Group while Gloucestershire have just one victory from five.

Tulloch struck twice in the course of her extraordinary opening 12-ball over which also conceded eight wides, and Gloucestershire struggled to 39-4 in the seventh before producing a partnership.

Reddy and Emily Geach added 58 for the fifth wicket, but Reddy was run out by a direct hit from Gemma Porter, and Geach was caught off Tulloch for a lively 29 off 33 balls.

Porter, Katy Cobb, Eve Jackson and Nicole Reid all finished with economical figures as Glamorgan were left chasing less than a run a ball.

Lauren Parfitt (23 off 15) and Emily Burke (14) got Glamorgan off to a brisk start at 50-2 in the powerplay, taking all the pressure off the visitors.

Liv Daniels bowled tidily for 2-19 in four overs, but Ellis and Scarborough got Glamorgan to the verge of victory with a stand of 40 before Alice Bird's second wicket provided only consolation for the Shire.

Glamorgan overtake Middlesex on run-rate at the top of the group, with the two sides strongly placed to confirm their places on Finals Day at Northampton.
