Girls 200-meter special event field announced for 100th Howard Wood Dakota Relays

SIOUX FALLS — Top sprinters from across the region are set to contest the girls 200-meter special event at the 100th Howard Wood Dakota Relays this weekend, with South Dakota well represented in the field.

The Dakota Relays Special Events Committee announced the invitation-only nine-person field on Tuesday for the girls 200 meters, scheduled for 6:55 p.m. on Friday, May 2, at Howard Wood Field.

This year’s decorated girls 200-meter field includes five of the top sprinters from South Dakota, as well as a duo from North Dakota and top athletes from Minnesota and Iowa. Competitors include Kali Ringstmeyer (Pierre), Chloe Raw (Arlington), Reagan O’Neill (Martin), Jordyn Larsen (Custer), Anya Olson (Velva, N.D.), Michelle Gee (West Fargo, N.D.), Brynn Bakken (Hills, Minn.) and Grace Erick (Sioux City, Iowa). Bergan Musser (Lennox) is the alternate.
