Andrew Thomas is moving closer to making his 2025 debut for the New York Giants. Giants coach Brian Daboll said Thursday that Thomas, coming back from Lisfranc surgery, “took a lot of reps” on Wednesday and came through practice well.
“It’s a good sign,” Daboll said.
Daboll said that Thomas would follow the same regimen on Thursday.
“He’ll do the exact same thing he did yesterday, basically,” Daboll said. “He took a lot of reps, he’ll take a lot of them today.
“It’s just a positive sign with how many reps he did take yesterday that he’ll do the same thing today, or similar. Not backing way off or anything like that.”
Daboll did not commit to Thomas starting Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Giants’ home opener.
“I think it’ll go all the way up to tomorrow, see where he’s at, see how he feels,” Daboll said. “He has to feel the right way.”
Linebacker Darius Muasau (concussion protocol) and edge defender Chauncey Golston (ankle) will not practice on Thursday.
