Aliyah Boston has been phenomenal for the Indiana Fever in her third season in the WNBA.
The Fever star has taken another step forward in cementing herself as one of the best forwards in the league, growing her game on both ends of the floor.
As Boston works through her third season in the league, she was honored in one of Indiana’s road games. Before the Fever played the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday, the state of Massachusetts honored July 14 as “Aliyah Boston Day.”
Boston was born in Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, but attended high school at Worcester Academy in Massachusetts.
After the news was announced, Fever coach Stephanie White spoke on Boston’s big day, sharing high praise for the Indiana star.
“The impact that she’s made on young girls and boys and, you know, her ability to lead, on the floor and off the floor and impact community,” White said, via Indiana Fever’s post on X. “She’s a giver. She’s a leader and it was really incredible the way that they honored her yesterday and we were happy to be a part of it.”
