Fans Unanimously Blame LeBron James After Lakers Lose Game 4

The Los Angeles Lakers are in a deep, deep hole. They are now down 3-1 in their opening-round NBA playoffs series against the Minnesota Timberwolves after their heartbreaking 116-113 Game 4 loss on Sunday.

LeBron James turned in a historic performance in this one as the NBA's all-time leading scorer registered 27 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, three steals, three blocks and two triples in 46 minutes of action.

James, however, also committed three turnovers, with his last one proving to be a crucial mistake that played a pivotal role in the loss.

James made an errant pass during an inbound play off a timeout with just 30.3 seconds remaining in the game. It was a monumental mistake with the Lakers down 114-113 at that point.

This led to an anonymous roasting from the fans on social media, who also pointed out how James missed an ill-advised three-point attempt from 27 feet out, committed a shooting foul on Anthony Edwards with 10.7 seconds remaining and opted to pass up what would have been a game-tying three-point attempt in the dying seconds.

"Another stellar crunch time and fourth quarter by LeBron. lol. Three point brick. Turnover. Fouls to end the game. Boom! A trifecta," a comment on X read.

"LeBron deep 3 was a bad shot (set up by Luka over-dribbling) followed by the LeBron turnover were just as bad IMO," said another.

"Lebron the last 3 plays was terrible. Turnover, foul and didn’t shoot the game winner or even attempt it," posted a viewer.

"Lebron with 0 points in the 4th quarter, turnover at the end of the game, critical foul and passes on the final shot of the game. What a fraud," a reaction read.

"That brick 3 from LeBron and the inbound turnover cost the Lakers …🤦🏻‍♂️" blamed a fan.

"LeBron is the greatest but damn that turnover was childish ash man wtf 🤦🏽‍♂️" another said.

To be fair, James also had a couple of big plays in crunch time for L.A., including two key blocks in the final two minutes. Both were clearly overshadowed by what followed in the dying moments of the game, though.

LeBron and Co. will now need to try and come back from this series after going down 3-1. It is a gargantuan task, no doubt, but if anyone is capable of doing the same, it's LeBron James.
