Dybala asks his agent to start talks with Roma for new deal

Paulo Dybala could end up renewing his contract with Roma.

The Argentine’s ’s last ninety days have been lived as a true locker room man: despite the injury taking away his space on the pitch, Dybala never abandoned Roma.

As Il Corriere dello Sport reports, Dybala has become a “mental coach” for his teammates and staff, celebrating and suffering from the stands and the bench.

“Ranieri has always asked me to stay close to the team,” said the player, who considers the capital and Trigoria his new home.

To demonstrate his attachment to the club, Dybala has already instructed his agent to start talks for a new contract.

The idea is to extend the duration and spread out the salary — currently around 7-8 million — to meet the club’s financial needs.

The meeting is set for early July, when the parties will discuss the terms and figures.

In this way, the Argentine will not weigh too much on the budget and will be able to continue to contribute to Roma’s growth in the coming years.
