MITCHELL – The Dakota Wesleyan University baseball team dropped its final two games of the regular season, falling in a doubleheader to Concordia 10-4 in game one and 12-2 in game two on Saturday at Drake Field.
With the doubleheader moved to Mitchell, the Tigers were the designated away team in both contests. While the two were tied 3-3 after one inning in the first matchup, Concordia (36-9, 24-3 GPAC) scored seven unanswered to go in front 10-3. DWU added one run in the final inning.
In the second contest of the day, the two teams were tied 2-2 heading into the sixth. However, the Bulldogs went off for 10 runs in the sixth to put things out of reach for the Tigers.
DWU finishes the season with a 12-35 overall record and an 11-17 mark in GPAC play.
