Tyreek Hill is in quite the drought.
The statistic began to circulate in the last week that a full calendar year has gone by without Hill catching a pass for 30 yards or longer.
Frankly, that's quite incredible.
The Miami Dolphins' star wideout is known for his speed an explosiveness. Yet somehow, despite playing all 17 games in 2024 along with Week 1 this season, Hill can't find a big-gainer anywhere.

Hill was asked about it this week, too, and he didn't take kindly to the question.
“I don’t know, bruh,” Hill responded. “I don’t know, bruh... I’m just grateful to be here, bruh. I love my job, bruh. It’ll come, it’s gonna come. I feel like this week, we got a great opportunity to go out there, make some plays. You know, move past last week. I don’t know, man. It’ll come. Sometime, I hope.”
Hill did have an 80-yard catch right at the beginning of last season, moments before the 365-day counter began.
He has had a catch of at least 49 yards in every one of his NFL seasons before this one.

Hill is effective on shorter stuff, too, but it's those gigantic plays that he made a name for himself early in his Chiefs career.
Hill is coming off his first sub-1000-yard season since 2019.
In Week 1's brutal Dolphins loss, Hill had four catches for 40 yards.
He struggled mightily last season when Tua Tagovailoa was out injured. Now in Week 2 against the New England Patriots, Hill has to prove he can still get the job done with Tua.
